A New Chapter Begins at Spinguera: The Opening of Shala Da Luz

We are very happy to announce the official inauguration of Shala Da Luz, the new open-air wellness space at Spinguera dedicated to yoga, meditation and connection.

This marks the beginning of yoga and meditation sessions in Spinguera, surrounded by the silence of the desert and the endless ocean breeze — a truly special and emotional moment for our eco-lodge.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who contributed to bringing this vision to life, and to all who joined us for this beautiful opening of Shala Da Luz.

May this new space of well-being become a source of light, peace and inspiration for everyone who steps into it.

Inside Spinguera Boutique, simplicity meets authenticity. Our small shop features a carefully curated selection of local products, Cape Verdean handicrafts, and Spinguera-branded clothing — all chosen with love and respect for the island’s traditions.

More than a souvenir shop, it’s a space dedicated to local creativity — where each object tells a story of craftsmanship, culture, and connection between ocean and desert.

Whether you are looking for a handmade keepsake, natural product, or a Spinguera t-shirt to remember your stay, every item has been chosen for its soul, authenticity, and sense of place.

Souvenirs with soul — carefully chosen, between the ocean and the desert.

At Spinguera Lodge, we believe that true well-being begins in harmony with nature. Our new open-air Shala, soon to open, offers guests a serene and inspiring space dedicated to yoga, meditation, and mindful movement.

Entirely built in wood and naturally integrated into the landscape, the Shala provides shade from the sun while maintaining the peaceful atmosphere that defines Spinguera. Measuring 5 x 10 meters, it combines intimacy with space — ideal for individual practice or small group sessions.

Equipment for personal use will be available on site, and private sessions of yoga and meditation can be arranged upon request. The Shala is also open for yoga retreats and small groups seeking a tranquil, authentic setting between the ocean and the desert.

A place to reconnect body, mind, and nature — a new chapter in Spinguera’s story of simplicity and balance.

At Spinguera Lodge, simplicity meets nature in the most authentic way. Our new swimming pool, inspired by the traditional water cisterns of Santo Antão, reflects the essence of Spinguera — essential, timeless, and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Carved gently into the natural landscape, the pool’s minimalist form follows the contours of the land, blending effortlessly with the desert’s warm tones and the distant rhythm of the ocean. Positioned between sea and sand, it offers a tranquil space to unwind, float under the sun, or simply sit at the edge and listen to the breeze.

This serene corner of Spinguera’s eco-lodge is more than a place to swim — it’s a space for reflection and calm, where nature sets the pace.
