Spinguera Ecolodge was born out of love for this land and its people.
We are convinced that there is no harmonious tourism without the effective inclusion of local communities. We preferably recruit local people. All of our 15 employees are from or live in the neighboring village of Bofareira.
We promote professional development, seeking to hire the most qualified staff. But we also give attention and opportunities to those who, for whatever reason, are still not properly trained to work in tourism, or are living in a situation of vulnerability and economic and social exclusion.

We seek to boost the local economy. Our purchases are made, whenever possible, directly from local businesses. We also encourage our guests to visit and interact with local communities.
In addition to being fully integrated into the surrounding natural landscape, the project has always been based on the traditional concepts and values of the architecture of the island of Boa Vista.

We embrace the challenge of sustainable development. The impact of human action on the environment is never zero. However, we continually seek to minimize our ecological footprint, and we encourage our customers and partners to do the same.

Our location favors contact with nature and biodiversity, and we promote the environmental sustainability of our planet through the adoption of best practices, such as the use of renewable energy sources, the rational consumption of water and energy and the proper management of waste.
